I don`t really know why that is, unless it is in order to take advantage of the realism of the full sample, but it seems like it may be unnecessary. Playback in a DAW apparently should be accomplished w Start time at 0 ms and with a compensating adjustment in the DAW. And guess what? IT WORKS! No more latency in real time playing! Actually, moving the value to 40 ms works well also. This is really a great sound guitar vst but the two very powerful features that I surprised me are the riffer and strummer.
I`m guessing here but I think that moves the start time of the sample playback 50ms into the sample (kind of like the solution an earlier poster had proposed might work). Finally I did find one post by the developer that says straight up if you want to play in real time you have to turn the START dial all the way to the right. I seems like they don`t understand what people are asking them. Anyway, I was feeling lucky cuz this latency problem seemed to have no solution and makes the product completely unplayable in real time.
